I agree about Grunfeld. But he is better than our previous GM's (can you say Michael Jordan??) who drafted Kwame (dead man walking) Brown. Or Bob Ferry who drafted the best player from Wake Forest every year. And who knows, ownership will change by next year. Probably Ted Leonsis who allowed George McPhee to burn the club to the ground and rebuild. And he got lucky, drafted Ovechkin and Backstrom back to back. Add in trades for Morrison, Green, Fleishman, Laich while burning it to he ground, and you have a contender. And the tweaking moves of Federov, Huet, B. Morrison and Knuble were excellent moves. So, Leonsis will give Grunfeld leeway to make moves he feels he needs to make. Also, by shedding all those salaries, the Wizards got under the luxury tax and get a $40 Million check. This may make the sale easier or more difficult (who knows). Also the Post reported that Arenas will be staying with the Wizards next season.
