Memo to Orsini: Extend or Fire!

No time to be complacent and just ride it out. Either extend for recruiting reasons or fire. Of course, if his deal was extended to 7, no reason to extend. We need a PG and some additional talent now, can't let the Spring/Summer come and go.

The best option is to fire Doh today. It was the best option after last years tourney loss to U of H & nothing has changed. If he stays, I'll be saying the same thing after next's years 1 & done tourney loss.

If he did not win in years 1 -4 then why will he win in year 5? It is like in school if your kid ain't getting it done in 1st grade then your kid ain't likely to get it done in 2nd grade either. Doh will stay for his final year because the athletic department does not have the money to get another coach right now. Top 25 in everything we do is what Orsini preaches but this ain't a Top 25 athletic department. It takes money and the willingness to admit certain-type players and keep them eligible to put Top 25 teams on the field - I am not sure SMU has either of those things right now.

Next season will be not unlike PB's last season. SO and Doh will agree on "100 things that are specifically to be addressed".

But I guess on the story w/ the 7 year contract, we found our answer. We suck b/c Moody is old and outdated.
