I am really curious what the two triggers were for the two 1 year contract extensions. I can think of almost nothing that could be supported for a reasonable acheived trigger after either of those 2 seasons. Doh's people completely worked SO and SMU in his initial contract. Plain and simple.

if this is true than Orsini needs to be fired also. He has doomed men's basketball for failure for the next 3 or more years. Eric Dickersen brought in June Jones, that aside, Orsini's hires have all been worst than what he replaced them with.

I suspect the Crum Center was on extension. The other might be a negative extension that we were supposed to get Moody Renovated and didn't (that's one rumor out there). As I said in another thread, perhaps they could kick him upstairs, somehow or find Tide and Burgers in desk drawer.

True. If Doherty doesn't resurrect program after next year, then Orsini's head needs to be on the chopping block.

I know PonyDoh thinks Doherty's 2010 class is good but do we have to wait 3 years for them to develop? What if the 2011 class sucks? Do we weigh that against Doherty just like we're giving him kudos for signing an ostensibly good class this year? Move on. Take Orsini's reputation and Doherty's likability amongst the Park Cities crowd and he's fired immediately. Is that worth further damning the program?

This makes me sick. I was on board with keeping Doh after the team seemed to hit it's groove in the latter part of the season. But last night was such a coaching disaster, I don't know how you can sell next season to anyone.

As long as we keep this recruiting staff together, the '10 and '11 class will be good. '11 will feature some locals/Texans as well. They have traction on the trail, which is something I wouldn't have said in years past. Whether any of that matters to people, or if Doh can make them an actual team is another matter.
