longbuzzer/quote] I need to join some secret beer drinking club, as I have been drinking too much alone after watching our basketball team. I drive down from Plano, so I can't drink enough before the games to ease the pain.[/quote] As National co-founder I ask you - Do you want to be beat in, or sexed in? Secret Beer Drinkers Society

Look people- the only thing this administration understands is $$$$$$$. They expect that a certain per centage of us will [deleted] and they will ignore us. As long as they are supported financially they will do nothing. The only solution is to boycott the university totally. Do not give to the university, do not buy tickets to the bball games and do not join the Mustang club. Radical?- yes but the only thing these people will understand. Let Turner know that Doh and SO is the reason for no support. SO doesn't give a rat's a-- about the fans or the university. We all saw how quick he was to apply for the ND position. Real loyalty- right??
Some of you say it is unfair to the student athletes to be this way. Well, the bball program has been lost in the desert for over 17 years- what about the alums that have put up with this crap. Is it fair to them to continue a losing tradition? That is almost as long as the football program was lost. Yet we have a mental hernia running the athletic department that gives out 7 year contracts with no performance clauses. How stupid can you be???
Let those that are drinking the Doh koolaid and believing that the solution is to get a PG go to the games and sit in their choice of seats because no one else will be there. When the pain gets high enough the administration will finally do something.
For me- I will go to the Mavs games when I am in town. At least their owner cares about winning and is passionate about his organization. Much more than we can say about the bball program here.
GO PONIES!!!

Basically, you're suggesting hurting the programs, not supporting them. Then you say go to a Mavs game b/c Cuban wants to win. Build up SMU basketball, don't tear it down.
“When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones

If you don't go to the games what coach and players in their right minds would want to have anything to do with SMU. With fans like you it is no wonder that we are in the predicament we are in!!! I know that if I were a Dallas HS player I would not even list SMU in my top 25 programs I am considering and it has nothing to do with Doherty and everything to do with the abysmal fan base (oxymoron).
You talk about expecting more, but what have you done to improve the program? Either step up and buy out Doherty's contract or support the team!!!!

What a bunch of b!tches you guys are...Support the athletes...They play better when we have a presence...All of you old farts are part of the problem...Show up for games, be loud and create the atmosphere...Better crowds bring better recruits, coaches, and other fans...Sitting around and moaning about wasting your time and money is pointless...When the team turns like football did, you are not allowed to come back...Good bye...Not going to miss you...

I bet most of them that won’t renew are not in the blue seats, rather sad given the fact that most of the hard core fans would love to sit down there, in what is mostly empty seats paid for. If Ford won’t renew this year I guess I could slide over to the isle seats in row three.

All the old farts I know, including myself, buy and will buy season tickets and make every pre-game and game and have fully supported the team for years although very unhappy with Doh and the state of the program. Inmature and ignorant people like you obviously are, who put all the blame for lack of sucess of the program on loyal fans who have been around for probably before you were born are the problem.

I don't believe that's a horn fan, but, they did get a gift with 19-10 Wake Forest.

Coach doh will be here and it is not the players decision. We need to quit the whinning and support the players, they are typically the only remaining things left after a coach is fired or resigns.
