The hiring of Tim Floyd should bring the UTEP basketball program back to national relevance. Floyd recruited almost every player on the UTEP teams of the 1980's that went to 7 post season tournaments and won 5 WAC conference championships. He then gained extensive experience AFTERWARD as head coach of 3 major college programs and 2 NBA teams. I see this hire as raising the bar even higher for C-USA in college basketball. It's time for Coach Doh & the Mustangs move up to that level.
