This email was sent out to faculty, staff, and students of SMU:

Limited Campus Parking on Friday Evening and Saturday

The SMU Athletics Department is hosting High School football games at Ford Stadium on Friday, November 12, at 8 p.m. and on Saturday, November 13, at noon and 6 p.m. A large attendance is expected for each of the games. The SMU Men’s Basketball team is also playing Arkansas-Little Rock in Moody Coliseum at 8 p.m., Friday, November 12.

Beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, November 12, and at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 13, the Meadows, Moody and Binkley garages, as well as the South Quad, Theology and Dedman lots, will be staffed with parking attendants. Once these parking locations fill with vehicles, the Airline and Law garages will be staffed with parking attendants.

Bishop Blvd. and the commuter parking lot on University Blvd. will be used for bus parking. SMU parking permits and Dedman Community Member parking permits will be honored and vehicles with them will be allowed to park without charge as space is available. Vehicles without a valid SMU or Dedman Community Member parking permit will be charged $10 for parking.

With their season game ticket, fans attending the SMU v. Arkansas-Little Rock home basketball game on Friday evening may park without charge in the Moody garage or Binkley garage. Community members attending events held in the Owens Fine Arts Center on Friday and Saturday may park in all locations without charge with their tickets also.

Due to the large attendance expected for the games and events on campus, it is likely that parking availability will be limited and delays and disruptions may be encountered on campus Friday evening and on Saturday because of anticipated traffic congestion.
The University apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

For more information or other parking assistance, Please call the Park ‘N Pony Office at 214-768-7275.
