So what is SMU's record?

Postby Mitch McConnell » Tue Mar 22, 2011 9:14 am

I could have sworn that when I checked out the school's athletic web site, it listed it at 20-14.

But then the NEW MATH, which apparently is being followed by those who followed the guy who claimed the number Bleen was between 6 and 7, entered the scene.

I hope I have this right:

* Apparently, the Rice game at the CUSA tournament counts for 2 losses?

* The CIT wins over ORU and Jacksonville actually count for one half of one eighth of a win each?

* The wins over Waylon Jennings, Hardin Simmons and so forth (we all know they are ridiculous) do not count because a computer didn't recognize them?

* The wins over Memphis and So. Miss at home only count for one-half win because SMU had the unfair advantage of playing these conference games at home?

* We don't have a ruling on the UNI win on Monday. I would hope that's actually 1 win because it was on the road. But I could be mistaken because other have already deferred to their fans as the team not being into the game.

I'm just looking for a little help.

UNI does not count either because they were missing their center!!!! I guess you could easily prognosticate the teams that will advance in the tournament based on injuries or some other factor. Whichever team will be easier to discount as a worthy opponent is who we will face. That may doom USF, Iona, and ETSU.
