I'm confused. I thought that if USF won the game would be in San Francisco and if Santa Clara won it would be in Moody.

Is it going to be in Moody now regardless of who wins today?

That was what Doh said in the postgame interview with Rich PHillips, but SMU has corrected it. It will be here no matter what.

Have we ever played Santa Clara or SF in basketball? I know we beat Santa Clara in football (September 27, 1947). Everybody remembers that one!

Actually, we are 0-1 against San Francisco, they are the team that beat us in the Final Four back in the 50s. Only time we have faced them.

We played Santa Clara in a home and home deal during the 87-88 and 88-89 season, with each team winning on their home court. So we are 1-1 against them.

Personally I like the headlines of us meeting San Francisco in the Final Four again, 50 years later!

SMU can get revenge for that loss.

we've played Santa Clara in both Football and Basketball. I remember we played them at Texas Stadium in about 1972 from memory-one of our first games at Texas Stadium(actually 1973 in game won 49-7.)

Been on campus this week...I would say 85% of the students have no idea we are still playing. It is nowhere to be seen. SMU hasn't sent an email or advertised anywhere. The only thing I have seen is the weak articles in the DC (and about 35 people on campus read the DC).
