SANTA CLARA preview: Bombs away

Postby PonyPride » Thu Mar 24, 2011 3:01 am

The SMU men's basketball team has improved its perimeter defense in its three postseason victories, holding Oral Roberts, Jacksonville and Northern Iowa under their season average shooting percentages. If the Ponies are to get past Friday's CIT semifinal matchup against Santa Clara, they likely will need another stalwart defensive effort as Bronco guards Kevin Foster and Evan Roquemore are among the nation's best-shooting backcourts. SMU head coach Matt Doherty and guard Collin Mangrum visited with PonyFans.com to break down what concerns them most about their next opponent.

Enjoy!

we need you to go to the game friday night as opposed to sitting on the couch playing with your chihuahua.

I think we will se a lot of Haynes on perimeter D. It would be amazing to see him put in another 27 point game. SC would not know what to do :)
