hoopmax I am not right on every subject. That is you in your mind. In a related matter according to hoopmax, a UFO landed on Moody and the NCAA has reopened its investigated of Chris Duhon ( which some NC alumni reported back in 1991) and has no merit. Tabloids hoopmax - they are waiting on you to apply. You would be great. I will have an open letter to Nick.

Nick,

Congratulations on your two seasons at Kansas State University. You played on two very good teams in which one year you almost made the final four. You are not the first player nor will you be the last to transfer. SMU is first and foremost an incredible academic University. In my mind Stanford has nothing on us. You will have an opportunity to receive a wonderful education which should be one of the most important things when considering a University.

My understanding is that all seniors will graduate and that is a credit to our coaching staff and academic staff for holding them accountable to attend classes, study tables, and having tutors on the road with them. Assuming you have an interest in SMU and they have an interest in you, I think Coach Doh and his staff can not only help your game but prepare you for the game of life.

Even though I have just seen you on T.V. and not in person, you have God given talent that most players are not blessed with. You can become much better as all players can by using this "red-shirt" year to improve in all areas of your game. Watch and learn from the great ones who are perimeter players. You can always become a better shooter for example ( D.Rose is a great example) by working on your game all summer. Be wise in your time by studying film, working out in the weight room, and recording your shots each and every day. Make it a priority. Once again, I would check with the six seniors and Rob and JFrog about playing at SMU and attending this wonderful University.

Dallas is a great place and a degree from SMU could set you up for life. You could with hard work have the chance to play after college and I am assuming that is your goal. I hope it happens. Kansas people love their basketball ( K-State has a 1,500 seat waiting list for season tickets) but as you know it is cold there and Dallas is one of the best ciites to live in the United States. We hope that make the right decision and will we will look forward to following your career.

Sincerely,

Harry Callahan

If you're going to go after someone, learn his name. It's Hoopmanx — as in HOOP...MAN...X.

That said, the allegations of tabloid-worthy rumors are ludicrous. Hoopmanx is more plugged-in with the goings-on in college basketball than any of us — maybe moreso than all of us combined. His track record is beyond reproach, and such attacks say a lot more about the shooter than the target.

Try learning from him, rather than attacking him. About 99 percent of what he says turns out to be true.

Ponytales,

I thought you were going to comment on Nick Russell and get back to SMU Basketball. You have your opinion. That is fine! I disagree with you so why not get back to SMU Basketball instead of defending your friend? Hoopmax should just stick with SMU basketball and quit talking about Chris Duhon and all this other stuff. I am willing to get back to SMU basketball or football. I prefer to ignore him in the future so all you groupies can assorb his every word as the gospel.
? Do you really think Fran F wants his name asscoiated with Gary Williams being lazy? Don't you think a guy who will be in the Hall of Fame and won a National Championship has something on the ball? You keep stroking hoopmax, he needs all the strokes he can get.

P.S. When you attack one on his grammer, remember moreso would be two words, not one as you had on your post.

RGV - who I respect by the way. If you go back to the posts, you will see that I was talking about Duke running a clean program. HM then said lol, see Chris Duhon so I did some research and saw where some sportswriter ( probably a North Carolina run newspaper) had all these allegations about Duhon. Was this accurate information? Who knows? The only thing for sure is that Duke has never been on NCAA probabtion to my knowledge. I really think HM should start a twitter following and all his "groupies" can take his words as gospel. Most tabloid reports ( not putting HM is that category anymore) have 90% of the story accurate and then put their spin on it.

Hoopmanx is not my friend. We have never met, and I don't know who he is. But I do know that his history of posts makes him a very reputable source. Realizing someone as a factual source does not make someone a "groupie."

Never said anything about Fran F or Gary Williams, and I certainly never would have called either "lazy."

By the way, I didn't attack your grammer — or your grammar (or spelling), for that matter. However, if someone offers you a cup of water and you say, "I need more so I can put out this fire ..." it's two words. The way I used it, it's one.

Ponytales: So you think because one posts a lot makes him a reputable source? HM said that GW was lazy according to Frank F and Billy Hahn. My statement was "don't speak for Billy or Fran. They certainly would not appreciate that anymore than you or I would. Once again because someone has a history of posts doesn't make them reputable source.

I think we would agree that Dallas, Texas would be a much better place to live then the plains of Western Kansas. He is close with his mother and so I suspect TCU, North Texas, SMU, etc is where he will be looking at for his next move. He would obviously have to sit out a year. If my reliable source is correct - average student - likes to will -I will take the fifth on that - you might see him at North Texas. As you know, SMU is tough ( which is great) and demanding both in the classroom and on the court. How many transfers have we taken under Coach Doh and who worked out? Mo helped us win a couple of games. No doubt! D. Williams put up big numbers after being at Western Texas Community College but we still didn't have a winning season.

Or northeastern Kansas, but why split hairs?

Question: What does "likes to will" mean?

I never said the number of posts someone has somehow equates to accuracy. What Hoopmanx has going for him is a long history of posts that prove to be true. The accuracy of his posts is what makes him a credible source. There are posters on every message board who can crank out numerous posts without saying anything of merit. Hoopmanx is not one of those.

Thank you for the lesson in geography. I learned something from you today. I will take the fifth and not say anything more. My source could be a bad source so I will do what my mom says, don't believe anything you hear and only half of what you see.

You are obviously trying to start a confrontation and your entitled to that. Maybe your having a bad day and have been been down once to often so taking it out on me. That is ok. You have the right to do that. Your putting on your big boy pants. Now, you want to get back to SMU?

Actually, I'm not trying to start a confrontation. I'm merely pointing out that the accusations being directed toward Hoopmanx and others are unfounded.
