Any thoughts on who A & M hires? With the direction of the program I would think it would be a pretty good job, but I don't where they fit in the basketball hierarchy.

I heard from really good sources that Ira Terell is in the running for the new HC position.

Ponyscott: Are you and hoopmax buddies? I would think that Ira would be a good coach based on his career and would have a good presence in the homes with families. Don't know about his x and o's but imagine they are pretty darn good. What will happen is a week after they announce the coach at Texas A/M hoopmax will come on this board and say " I knew three weeks ago" they were going to hire him. Wait and see. I can't wait. Then he will say something like "see B.J. Holmes" or someone's name because he read in a newspaper there might have been some recruiting questions that hoopmax read about in the Houston Chronicle. He says all this about Duke but does he ever say the NCAA checked everything out and there was nothing improper? They have never been on NCAA probation. Hey, besides his future tabloid career, maybe he can apply for a job with the NCAA

Second and long,
Do you have a problem with Ira Terrell? Is there something you would say on this board that you would say to his face? I know I may not be the smartest person on earth but don't think I would be saying something negative to him in person?

No, I think Ira will be a true fan for many years. Can you find something constructive to add to a conversation about SMU and their football or basketball program?

Probably not a bad choice. He's definitely been around the block...
The Witchita State, Murray State, Northern Iowa mid-majors are good hires.

Giddy up - Kennedy actually coached at Centenary and NE Louisiana where he took the team to the NCAA tournament. He was an assistant at UC and helped land Jason Kidd. He obviously had a good team this year at Murray State. You are correct - mid-majors do make good hires.
