Hoops to Football

Goodson is a guy that SMU recruited out of high school from Klein in Houston. Don't know how "in" we were on his recruitment but I think he was a rivals150 guy and I personally was excited about the possibility of him as a Mustang. Chose Gonzaga, played significant minutes (much as a starter) at PG for the Zags over 3 years and now transfers to Baylor to play Football. Anyone know any of the back story here? Seems like an odd time to transfer and change sports (to one you haven't played since being a soph in HS no less!).

He's been pretty average for the Zags, plus they fell in love w/Stocktons kid, and bring in an excellent PG out of Canada, Kevin Pangos. Couple that w/Goodson having more eligibility in football, and family in the NFL, he just likes his chances better in football. Can always try to to play hoops overseas as a fall back
