Re: What questions will this raise?
Many questions, although it'll be hard to prove that commissions equal steering. The coaches don't care about the NCAA, they just want to avoid getting Madoff'd
Re: What questions will this raise? No 1 all donors to a University's athletic fund raising club are considered representatives of the university. The NCAA rule clearly states that representatives of a university are prohibited from having contacts with recruitable athletes. The slimmy world of basketball recruiting. Yeah I bet all those Coaches from across the country turned to this guy in Friendswood for investment advice. I have read about this guy before but first I've heard of the latest reveletations about private investments by Coaching Staffs. If true, I think this is a potentially huge story. Get your popcorn ready
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: What questions will this raise?I knew this guy way back in the day. A sleazebag who could charm the socks off anyone.....Lived in Corpus Christi and damn near got elected to the city council until someone did a background search and found out everything about the guy was a lie - including stealing someone else's resume and using it as his own.....No wonder he fit right in to the sleazy world of select basketball...............
Re: What questions will this raise?Doesn't appear that the NCAA will pursue for now.
