One last thread for today about a non-SMU topic. This whole Barry Bonds story is really [deleted] me off because here in Dallas there should be only one sports topic being discussed – Dirk Nowitzki. He had one of the greatest individual performances in my lifetime from a local athlete last night. Dirk was simply re-dirk-ulous. I’m really glad that game was on national tv because I believe the rest of the basketball world thinks of Dirk as a good player with a great shot, but kinda soft. Well, last night they got see what Dirk really is, one of the greatest basketball players in the world (53 pts, 16 boards, 4 blocks). He and T-Mac put on a show. That was about as big of a statement you can make in regular season game. And people forget Dirk’s only 26....that's scary.
