We are not going to run because doh doesn't know how to coach a team to run; this guy cannot coach. The way we run the princeton offense is a joke.....yeah we make a few back door cuts....but there are other times where we dribble the ball too much, make one pass and jack up some fall away jump shot from 18 feet out...

I have no problem w/Doh hate, but you know nothing about the princeton or what we're doing offensively. It's a joke if you think we dribble too much, and or don't show movement on O. These kids are learning the timing, that simple, but there is plenty of movement, unless all you understand of the princeton is back-door cuts.

Not avoiding anything. I think we have better low post options than are being utilized. Smith & Vilde in particular could help, if we manufactured touches for them on the low block. Our bigs are so busy screening 20ft from the hoop, we don't even attempt to establish anything down low.

That would be fine if Rob isn't double teamed late in games..

OK - You have made your point. Michael Jordan has the third best field goal percentage for the Bulls so let Steve Kerr take the shot instead of M.J. right based on percentages. i understand the point you are making but based on the LA.Tech game in which Losh had 11 and shot the ball well - he wasn't a bad option and had a good look. Your stats are accurate. When did they score - against Dallas Christian Williams went 8-8 ( example) stats don't always tell the story. Did Losh have the hot hand against Ole Miss ? No! He struggled! Did he take bad shots? No - all good looks.

You keep siting LA tech. Losh played well there.

He didn't play well in this game, so we wonder why he was the one to take the shot.

Giles at least hit a couple in that game.

Again Travis all your basketball drival is totally irrelevant ( and even more so because we don't call the plays on PF) because the ONLY reason Losh is even open late in the game because the opposition knows he is only shooting 25% for the season and is shooting much less % than that LATE in the game and just leave him alone..... but as a coach why would you even put him in a position to fail?..which puts SMU in the position to fail?......... Are you a relative? You try too hard here to impress us all with your basketball acumen from the internet....you have no idea who are on here. We love your SMU passion Travis, but you are barking up the wrong tree.

We didn't attack their zone very well. Very little dribble penetration. We shot 5 free throws and none in the final 17 or 18 minutes of the game? That's what I'm really upset about is that Frog either couldn't solve the zone or Doherty make an adjustment to try and attack it.

We settled for too many jump shots.

For the record, on the last shot if Nyuk isn't available, I'll take my chances with Giles or Shawn Williams.

The La Tech game is more of the exception than the norm. Losh has not strung any consistency together. The floor game and the shooting are what they are.

But in the end, I don't think it's going to matter. Doherty is going to start him and keep him very much in this rotation regardless of what we think.

Max, it was a good out of bounds play and Losh had a nice look and we had time for a putback on the miss but just wasnt in the cards. We were ( correct me if I am wrong) 45 feet away from the basket. You could have had a box formation with Rob on the opposite side and go directly to the top of the key and two Mustangs squeeze his defender and Rob gets the last shot. At the same time the "screeners" for Rob "flop" hoping to get fouled and get a 1-1 to tie the game and then Rob "flops" also after he shoots and he hits three free throws to win the game. Well it is all behind now so it is on to Tulsa and here we go into league play.

P.S. Max, we have no post presence. None!

We don't have post presence because:

Leslee Smith is 7-8 games into college career coming off a ACL injury.

And we don't make an concerted effort to try and establish anything in the block. Kinda hard to do that when you're not moving toward that end.
