Not exactly bedlam. strange, but shows that even rivalry games between big state schools with tradition don't necessarily draw unless its a meaningful game between teams in the top 20. Fans at most places are drawn by winning now and hype.

School is currently not in session, and game is being played on a weeknight at 6 PM in a relatively isolated small town. And with that, there's still a good 5,000 people there.

Indeed, it did start back today. That's pretty early.

I'd assume that most OSU season ticket holders live and work in Tulsa. If you get off work at 5 PM, you'd get to Stillwater after tipoff.

It might be more than 5k. Can't really tell as they aren't showing the upper bowl at all. Just assuming it's 5k because the lower bowl is full and the middle bowl is 2/3 full.

Gallagher-Iba is a tremendous place to watch a game. Everyone should go see a game there if they get the chance.

By the way, I'd like our chances if we faced OU.

Point well made. Attendance just doesn't happen - it is produced from many factors. Of course it all starts with winning and connecting with the community.
