http://www.chron.com/sports/rice/articl ... 305605.phpSMU coach Matt Doherty may have taken the biggest shot of the game. Late in the first half, Doherty had choice words for Kazemi after the all-conference forward fell out of bounds. "He called me a flopper," said Kazemi, who had nine of his 11 points in the second half. "It just got to me. I said I'm going to play as hard as I can to get this win tonight."
So much for dignity.

In fairness to Doherty, Kazemi fell and the players seemed to get a little heated. Fortunately, the refs did not make a call and Doherty just said to the ref, that's a flop. Actually, both Doherty and Braun were pretty hot after that play. Kazemi always plays angry. I've never seen a player play with more disgust in his face than Kazemi. I don't even know if he likes the game or not. Maybe the anger fuels him but no one will ever confuse him with Magic Johnson's smile!

That crap is about the only reason I like Doh. He's great for rivalries, IF we were just good.

Class act...NOT. Sad that he has begun berating the other team's players. Can you stoop any lower? Time will tell.

Up above mustangxc said that doh told the ref it was a flop, but I guess you would rather ignore that and assume doh was berating kazemi. In fact, kazemi did not even say doh berated him. just where did you get that idea, or did you make it up?

Desperate times often bring out the worst in people. Hope he ends his career with good sportmanship and finds a good position next season.

lol @ sportsmanship. Doh is going to crush this position to anyone who will listen, and many will. You're talking about a highly political guy, that was shocked by what he inherited. Even if it's sour grapes, he'll bend a few ears. Sucks but true

Would love to see the folks here bashing Doherty and complaining to actually get off their cans and support the team in person. Buy some tickets and help the kids/coach out.
Doherty is going to coach this team next year and take SMU to the NIT or NCAA w/in 2 years. Get behind them or go pull for TCU

99% of the people on this board are season ticket holders and a good chunk of the other 1% live out of town. Try again.

Message received, but I'd think there'd be a lot of solid coaches out there who would love the chance to bring in DFW players to play in one of the top two basketball conferences.
