I'm actually ok with 80-109. What is unforgivable is 13-19 (4-12) his sixth year at the helm and no real success to counter it, just mediocrity.

Illinois just fired their coach. It goes to show other universities have less tolerance for losing than we have become accustomed to. Illinois is still going to the NIT and they sacked their coach. The whole top 25 in sports is a nice slogan but it sure would be nice to see some definitive actions taken to help us get there, and it should start by bringing in a coach who can get us there.

MM, great point on slogan. We sure don't conduct much athletic business like a top 25 program.

What about Bennett in 2007? Let's say, right around the incredible ass-whooping we received at the hands of the Sun Belt Arkansas State Indians.

No kiddin'. That was a severe, physical beating. Been trying to forget that one.

That was a low point for me as a respectable human being following college football.

I am in my early 40's and have followed BB and FB pretty much all my life. I swear on my life that I had never heard of South Carolina Upstate until I saw my morning boxscore indicating SMU had lost a BB game to them. Other than the DP and getting kicked out of the SWC, that was the low point as a SMU alum.

About the only worse would be falling behind UNT in the academic rankings.

Tuesday can't come soon enough for SMU basketball. Fix your mistake Orsini.

Why is Orsini coming out unscathed with no criticism from you guys? Didn't he hire Doh? Didn't he give him a contract extension not based on performance when his record sucked? Isn't he suppose to lead us to "Top 25 in everything we do?" Step it up Steve O. Do your magic with the round ball and the pigskin.
