He was successful as a high major coach in the Big 12

He was an amazing recruiter with ties to the southwest

He was a young, wunderkind who could do no wrong and in his early 30s had teams ranked in the top 10.

He got into trouble with the NCAA and was hung out to dry by his AD but was later proved to be mostly clean with some minor violations. The media loved his downfall but did not report when his was cleared.

He is very handsome and hated because he was handsome, young, and successful (which is perfect for SMU)

He has done his time post being a college head coach in the NBA D league as a head coach and as an assistant in the NBA, things that would only make him a better recruiter than he was before.

He has the email, cell phone, and IM addresses for Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynumn, and Meta World Peace.

I'm not saying hire him, I'm saying somebody with this resume should get an interview.....ladies and gentleman and Stallion........Quinn Snyder....come on down and sit with Steve Orsini.

Interesting...great record, but no one would bother to read the fine print in his Bio--the part where he was cleared.

Quinn would turn this program around in a heartbeat - and for Quinn - that is ever more rapid than most coaches.

I honestly like the idea. Wasn't the last guy who coached us into the NCAA tourney on one of the biggest cokehead teams of all time (The late 80s Phx Suns)?

It would be so much easier for those of us not basketball junkies, if you guys would just give a social bio before we read anything about their experience and won-loss record.

Of course, it would be easier if rating services would just eliminate hs athletes that are not projected to be academic qualifiers or in jail.

Here's how you become a Big East program. Hire a legit coach, recruit kids like this. Super quick, just let out of his LOI from Miss St, and arrested & exonerated for being asleep in a car w/his buddies, who just happened to have a few loaded AK-47s in the trunk. SWAG
