Looks like I have higher standards and goals for the program. He was a complete failure my man.

No, you like beating a dead horse. There is a difference between the individual and program. The program isn't in shambles, the individual was a mess. He did do some legit things for the school/program off the court, but I'm not defending his on-court record. It's just time to move on. He doesn't coach here anymore, and he left the cupboard far more stocked than he found it. Sure we lost a bunch of time, but shambles was your word

Top 25 in everything we do. If you say it enough, will it happen?

No one is claiming Doherty's tenure a success. It was a a failure. That is why he was fired. In spite of that failure, our program is far ahead of where it was when he took over. Doherty's tenure brought us significant facility upgrades, left us with a more talented roster than he inherited, and helped repair a toxic relationship in Dallas to the tune of quite a few local players on the roster. We are much better today as a program than the day before Doherty arrived at SMU.

Also, we didn't come in last place.

My bad. Next to last place. Let's celebrate. Don't lower your standards.

If he developed good DISD relationships, he sure got left at the altar vs. Jackson State.
