I really hope that they don't close in the horseshoe. Add a third layer, but please do not fill in the grassy knoll!

My dad took my nephews to their first SMU game in the fall. The little one loved the grassy knoll.

Personally, I don't see us ever expanding the stadium beyond 40-50K for two reasons:

1) It is better to have a small, full stadium than a big empty one. It looks good on TV and scarce tickets actually increase demand. Another 10K in tickets makes it likely we will have to offer them at huge discounts and/or give them away.

2) Home Field Advantage: I hate to give the Frogs credit for anything, but Fatterson made a comment that was smart. If he has his way, TCU will NEVER move any Big 12 games to Jerry World. Why? They would rather have a full house at their stadium (full of TCU fans) that an enormous crowd at Jerry World full of UT fans.

I was a freshman when we got caught and ended up getting the DP. Before we got caught, we had a "big" game against the Aggies at Texas Stadium. While we got a huge crowd, most of it was maroon.

The genius of Ford Stadium is that we never have to allow that to happen again.
Do unto others before they do unto you!!

In an interview with Robert Griffin III, former Baylor quarterback and Heisman trophy winner, Robinson asked the NFL Draft prospect questions regarding the NCAA Football video game Griffin will appear on the cover of. Robinson asked Griffin, "When you were at Baylor, what was the toughest place for you to play in terms of crowd noise?" His answer was somewhat surprising.
"The thing that people think is when you go to these big stadiums and they have 80,000 people or 100,000 people, that these are the toughest stadiums to play at, but really, those aren't," Griffin said. "When you have that many people, most of the time, the fans are pretty far away from the field. The toughest places to play are the ones that are jam-packed, are really tight to the field and sit about 45,000 people."
