Hey, I am new to the board and this is my first post. I know there have been many names thrown out there for new head coach. I would like to see them consider Tim O'Toole for the next head coach. He was former the Fairfield U coach. Currently does games for Espn and St. John's games. I know at one point he was considered for a lot of Big East jobs at Fairfield. Does not have a great record 112-120 overall. But, he was named Maac coach of the year in 2004 and lost the conference final to Manhattan that had a pro and beat Florida in First Rd of the tourney. His mid major program hosted NIT game when getting a mid major into NIT meant something. Also has a good pedigree being an asst. at Duke, Cuse, and Seton Hall. Possibly could lineup some good OOC games with Duke/Cuse. It would be cool to see the Blue Devils in Moody. What I like about O'Toole is that he can recruit I-95 corridor which is big in the Big East. Definitely a better in game coach than Doh. Also, he is respected by Brey, Wright, Lavin, Boeheim,Pitino etc. Also Jerry Hobbbie worked for him for 8 seasons. O'Toole would definitely get Bernardi to stay. Has good AAU ties in state of NJ/NY. I think he would definitely be able to recruit Texas and Southwest. He is a guy who would welcome a second chance.
I think we could all agree we want a coach who will bleed for this school. Another guy who would also be good is LIU Coach Jim Ferry. Has recruited Texas well for his program. Also knows the northeast and coming off two NCAA appearances.
