Exactly. Like there isn't a 70% chance LB looks at a Moody crowd of <1,000 in February to see a .500 smu team and walks away.

Hire Larry Brown

I see two downsides to LB: Age and he hasn't coached college since 1988. I see far more upside:
Dallas is a pro sports town. LB is a pro sports guy. This can only help attendance.
His first game back in college hoops will attract considerable media attention. This will mean posteriors in seats for at least one game in moody.
We need to recruit the best local players. Who wouldn't consider playing for a guy who, given he has coached 40% of the NBA teams, must know literally everyone in the pro game.
LB has won at the highest levels.
He should fit in well at SMU among alumni. And He is unlikely to take a p00p in a towel at a team meeting.

SMU Football Blog-I think this could work out with the right staff. (but then again Larry Brown taking SMU to the Big East may remind some of Casey Stengal coaching the expansion New York Mets). In either case it could be entertaining.

When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

maybe we see more cooperation between smu and the mavericks, as I am sure Cuban and Brown have a relationship...
