Re: Final 78-67, oh wellLike everything else with respect to men's basketball and football. All of us have aged quite a bit since our last bowl game and/or NCAA appearance.
PS, that might quite possibly be the gayest post I've ever read from you, which is saying a lot. We are > .500 at the D-1 level.
I still don't understand why some of you ever respond to the troll Ponysnob. Check all of his posts. He says the same exact thing every time. He rubs in losses, dissappears after wins, always states the obvious, and constantly demeans the university, not just its athletics. Any loss, closely fought or not, is met with yet another "can we compete at Div. I?" He's a broken record. I would challenge anyone to find a single constructive criticism by this TCU or UNT jerk. He dosn't want to make it better, he just wants to pile on. He thinks he can make a difference as he feels that his posts will cause recruits to think SMU is actually considering moving from DI. He must gain great joy when you guys engage him just like he was another disgruntled SMU supporter. He is not a SMU supporter, disgruntled or otherwise. Maybe someday he will discover girls or get a job or otherwise find a new hobby.
Have to keep in mind we played this game without Simpson and Roberts and we were at least competitive. I don't know if this team will get healthy this year, but if everyone is back in time for the WAC Tourney, this team could be the one that nobody wants to face.
from many years of watching college basketball if there is one thing I've learned- it is that you are not nearly as good as you look at home and not nearly as bad as you play on the road. Especially in a league like the WAC with its long road trips its very difficult to beat even mediocre teams on the road.
I'll sum up today's game against toledo in two words: who cares
We got outta there it appears with no further injuries, now time to get ready for boise, a game that actually has some importance to us.
I suspect that Tubbs held Simpson and Roberts out to let them heal as much as possible before the WAC final games and the tourney. As noted, the conference and tourney games are the ones that count now. Actuallty, we have done pretty well without those guys playing which says a whole lot about the team and Tubb's coaching. This team is well coached and playing really well...all things considered.
