80-62 road win over Boise State! Love it! Now go kick the Miners' arse! Then come home and whoop up on the Golden Hurricane and the Owls! GO MUSTANGS!

This win feels good

Even though Boise is a losing team right now, this road win sure feels good coming before a tough matchup on Sunday in El Paso. I am encouraged about winning our last two home games and avoiding a play-in game for the WAC tournament.

There were four or five dunks last night that were highlight reel material. The Pearson throwdown was my personal favorite. Oh, and how about BHop's leaping abilities? He seems leaner and lighter on his feet of late.

We've won 4 of last 5 games

Postby Sam I Am » Sat Feb 26, 2005 11:52 am

SMU is finishing the season with wins in 4 of the last 5 games. Toledo was a disappointment that has kept us from the right perspectie about how the team has been improving. I say again, we can go 2 of 3 to finish the season, which would give us a 6 for 8 at the end of season. I think we can avoid a play-in game, and with a chance to win our first game in the tournament. This feels a lot better than last year.

Devon Pearson was the player of the game, by a longshot. I know Hop had more points (28) than Pearson (21), but Pearson was everywhere. He hit his 3s (3 of 4), crashed the boards (game-high 13 rebounds) and was aggressive going to the hoops. I thought he was terrific. He's had several good games lately -- keep it up!
