that Old Dominion can give me a big win tonight against Michigan St?? This tourney needs a big upset and I need the points. So far, this has been the most uneventful 1st round in recent memory.

How about Vermont sending Choker Boeheim and his bunch from Syracuse packing? That do anything for you?

Sure does something for me!

The 3 point shot the Vermont point guard hit was unreal. I actually yelled and came out of my seat and I'm no fan of Vermont and no hater of Syracuse either. Let me correct that, I wasnt a fan of Vermont, but I am for the rest of this tourney.

I asked for eventful and got trouble......I had Syracuse in either the championship game or final four in all of my brackets?? And Kansas going deep.....geez. But what a great game Vermont/Syracuse was- that 30ft 3 pointer that kid made was unbelievable. They will be talking about that shot for years in the state of Vermont. Moments like that are what make the NCAA Tournament so great.

Having the luck to have seen Vermont early this year and then one more time in their tourney, that one didn't surprise me. But BUCKNELL?????
There is mourning in Jayhawk land today. There are no students who were alive the last time KU went out in the 1st round. It just goes to show you though. Today, if you can't hit a decent percentage of your 3's, anyone can beat you at any time. KU got worse and worse all year in 3 point shooting to the point that none of them even wanted to shoot a 3. Less than 10% last night. That will get you beat against even average teams. Think Self is looking for a shooter to recruit yet this morning?

I don't know, the fact that Uncle Roy isn't whining on the sideline kind of takes some of the fun out of a good Kansas loss. I just can't wait for UNC to lose.

Congratulations to Bucknell and Vermont.

And if ncaa BB was ncaa FB, the BCS would have passed on Vermont, Bucknell, and others so that we could have an "IMAGINARY" championship game between the likes of say, Syracuse & Kansas!

That is what makes this best in sports...kids play for pride (except corrupt schools) and there is an actual playoff system.

And the university presidents, who won't change football to a playoff system because the bowl charade brings in so much money, can not look at the basketball tournament and honestly say the schools wouldn't make a fortune on a similar alignment.

Exactly, ponyup. They see all the $ numbers, they know a FB playoff would be profitable. But the tail wags the dog- the BCS runs ncaa FB.

Unfortunately, the worst thing to happen to ncaa FB playoff hopes occurred last season when BCS chose UT in the Rose Bowl. Had they been overlooked (again), I firmly believe that Mack Brown & UT was on the verge of exposing the BCS scam.

And we all know how good UT is at exposing the 'sins of others'.

BCS is already unwinding by itself with the AP stepping out. Hopefully soon enough we will at least get an +1 game.
