I don't understand how it doesn't count for one team but does the other....?

I don't get that either. On the handout last night it had the game listed as an exhibition for Malone but not for us. Strange.

Does it really matter? I like that it counts. Probably some NCAA loophole so that DI teams will play the new DII schools wo the little guys having their record affected.

Perhaps the issue has to do with the NCAA denying us the Alcorn State Game, and ensuring that we did not lose a "qualifying" game as a result. Malone probably got to count it as an exhibition to allay the whooping they were going to get and not have it count against them.

LB said in an interview that Alcorn St had some type on conflict with the schedule.

It wasn't a schedule conflict, it was an NCAA rule that wouldn't let them be in another non-exempt tournament with us within a certain amount of time (4 years I believe).
