Nobody really knows until Coach Brown gets them. Tony Gonzales did really well at both.

We now have an outside chance at 13 wins before starting conference play.

That would match total wins for all of last season (including C-USA tournament).

Pretty amazing when you consider these are fundamentally the same teams and that this years' OOC opponents are not the typical cupcakes we are all so accustomed to.

All American tight end Oscar Roan came in and played hoops after a few players were ruled ineligible. Of course Roan played some hoops at a school called UCLA before he transferred to SMU to play football. When Coach Allen heard he'd played for John Wooden, he was happy to let him see if he could play.

Long live the great Oscar Roan.

Oscar Roan was greatness both at football and basketball in the early 70's. Watched him play on the same team with Ira T. Played on the BB team only part of one season and was the SWC Newcomer of the Year.
