Mustangs Receive Votes In Both Top 25 Polls For Second Straight Week
SMU plays at East Carolina Thursday at 6 p.m. CT

DALLAS (SMU) - The Mustangs received votes in the AP Top 25 Poll and the USA TODAY Sports Coaches' Poll after a pair of wins, including a triple-overtime win against UAB, pushed the record to 18-4 overall and 9-0 in Conference USA, the best start to conference play in program history.

SMU has a three-game advantage in the conference, and leads the league and ranks 38th in the NCAA in scoring offense with 70.4 points per game. Keena Mays, who earned her fourth C-USA Player of the Week award, leads the team and would rank 15th in the country with 20.6 points per game, and is one of three Mustangs averaging at least 10 points in conference game.

The Mustangs play their next two games on the road, starting with a Thursday matchup at East Carolina at 6 p.m. CT. After facing Memphis on Sunday at 2 p.m., the Mustangs will host Tulsa on Feb. 21 in Moody Coliseum at 7 p.m.
