Re: Jordan DickersonPotential incoming transfer or are we now at the scholarship limit?
Peruna is my mascot!
Re: Jordan DickersonHopefully he makes good of it, seemed like a nice kid. He would have been buried on the bench had he stayed.
Re: Jordan DickersonHe is the third needed to clear space for the 4 people coming in. Giles graduated plus 3 releases. Weird that there was a delay in announcing for him, wonder what caused that.
Bernardi is fine unless they bring in a transfer.
Re: Jordan Dickerson
Not necessarily i dont think. Always a place for a great spot shooter and evidently Brown thinks Bernardi can be that and have a role on the team. I did t necessarily see his shooting ability but in fairness, he was a true freshman having to create shots and should have some open looks as we fill out the roster. That being said I think Brown's trying to over recruit every position constantly.
Re: Jordan DickersonYou can always use a sharpshooter like Brian..NO one shoots 1000 shots daily. He will get his chances this year...remember he still shot 43% from 3 point range in a limited role...that's difficult to do.
Re: Jordan DickersonI agree, very happy Brown stayed with Bernardi. He'll be solid with an upgraded roster that attracts attention.
Re: Jordan Dickerson
Thanks...he is a very talented shooter...hope LB really uses him in his sophomore year....LB historically doesn't play freshman or NBA rookies as much as they may or fans think they deserve.
Re: Jordan DickersonBernardi's a good, hard working kid from the same general area Brown's from. I'd think that gives him a small edge.
Re: Jordan Dickerson
This coaching staff has worked hard to assist these departing kids find an new homes commensurate with their ability levels. In this case, you have a very unpolished and raw kid who is a project at any level. Sometimes it is tough getting a kid like this placed where he is with the right program and coach to succeed. I am guessing this placement thing was a big issue and the reason for the delayed announcement of departure.
Re: Jordan DickersonI was surprised that Blaise left. Big 7 footer, highly recruited. Maybe his injuries were worse than thought? Anyone have any detail on him/theories why we let him go?
Re: Jordan Dickerson
I heard Blaise is athletic but liked to hang out at the three point line, pull up for jumpers, just didn't play "big"
