Couldn't agree more. I've hated all this realignment cr.p from the start. I've always been kind of a traditionalist which is why some of these moves have had me floored to no end.

The field hockey analogy was great. Sums up everything perfectly.

God I hope we can keep him around here long enough to become a national power

Could anyone have predicted when Arkansas left the SWC for the SEC that one day the SWC teams would be in the SEC, Big 8, two conferences not in existence at that point (CUSA and BE/AAC). That West Virginia would be in the same conference with UT. That Missouri would not be in a conference with Kansas. That OU and Nebraska would not be in the same conference. That Maryland would be in the Big Ten. That Syracuse and Boston College would be in the ACC? Think of the biggest historical college rivalries. Only UT/OU, USC/UCLA, ND/USC, Ohio State/Michigan, SMU/TCU (only by agreement) remain intact. UT/ATM, UT/Ark, OU/NU, NU/CO, KS/MO, Penn State/Pitt, Pitt/WVU, Maryland/Virginia. All gone.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I like the reaction from one of the readers...Larry Brown and June Jones at the same school! Didn't know that. Therein lies the problem. Gotta beat name programs before we will be relevant again

I like this line from LB:
if we do a good job in building our program I’m confident June [football coach June Jones] is going to do it in football.

Translation: now that I've shown him how to recruit by doing more in one year than he's done in 6, I'm confident he can finally get his [deleted] together.

Looking at the current offers this next class has......it looks like JJ isn't paying much attention to what kind of talent LB is recruiting........

This is a great point. They plastered Doh's face all over the city years ago. It's time to do this again with LB. Hopefully something like this is in the pipeline?
