New ad at Moody

Postby Grant Carter » Mon Jan 20, 2014 2:20 pm

Forgive me if this was already discussed, but I noticed they were using the screens on the backboard supports for ads last night. I believe it was the first time.

I liked this one in particular:

One thing they do need to fix though.

At various times they put player information (after a big play) on the small boards over the vomitories - but the information for one player is split across four boards.

In addition to the player name and hometown, it lists their "previous school" as denoted on the roster - so in Nick Russell's case one of our boards said Kansas State.

I'm sure somebody just entered the data straight from the roster and they want to list high schools (expecially for Keith, etc.) but we shouldn't list other colleges on our boards, right?

I only saw it for Nick Russell but with all of the transfers on the roster it could get kind of silly.

I remember going to a UT football game back in the 90s and they had a board that showed player information. It showed the high school unless the player was a transfer in which case it showed the previous college. So it may be a widespread practice

I know athletes are listed with their previous school on the rosters - they do that at all schools in all sports.

I just don't see any reason to put other school names up on our boards.

7-11 should put that "Oh Thank Larry" on a T-shirt with the Pony logo. I'd buy one
