Hahaha. Congrats on the Super Bowl win tonight. You've been a joke of a program for better than 20 years and all of a sudden you guys get all tough? Considering I didn't know if this Cincinnati team would even make the tournament, I am absolutely thrilled to be 22-3 and 11-1 in the conference. You'll have to wait til next year to get your first meaningful basketball banner...

Good luck going forward (please do the same to Louisville you did to us tonight). Till we meet again (possibly in the conference tourney?)...
Thanks chief. Now quit trying to leave the conference.

As for the bottom of the league, I don't know how the language filters work so I'm not going to comment...I'll just say, I hope we aren't in this conference a few years from now.
Not sure there will be anywhere to go, although a sportswriter in Dallas floated some chatter on the radio yesterday that the Big 12 should just go ahead and add Cincy and SMU to get to 12 teams and a football champ game. Don't really see it happening so SMU better get its football house in order and help build AAC.
There isn't, I just don't want to think of all the RPI-killers that are going to be in the league next year.
we aren't too happy about tulane, ECU, etc either. Wish this could be the league as is.

Yo cincy, ignore some of the [deleted] on here. We split the games this year. You guys have a great team and should make noise in the tourney. Playing you guys every year will be fun.
That said, we're more than well aware we've sucked for 20 years. No need to be an [deleted] about it. Imagine being in purgatory in FB and BB for two and a half decades, how would you feel about beating the #7 team in the country?

All I want this year is for us to have more bids than the BE. Those AH's got too big for their britches and now have a conference that's slowly heading to irrelevance especially after the ACC raid. If Tulsa, Temple and UH can find their past glory in hoops, the American will be two steps ahead of the BE. By next year the only conference that will be the class conference will be the ACC (UVA, UNC, Pitt, Syr, LU, Duke, ND). After that the SEC has three good teams (Ky, Mo, FL), the Pac 12 has three good teams (Stanf, UCLA, Utah), the Big XII has six good teams (UT, ISU, BU, OSU, KU, WVU), the B1G has about 5 good teams (OSU, MSU, MI, MN, IA, MD). The AAC has 4 good teams, the BE has three good teams (GT, MU, DeP). We can grow this in hoops into a great long term conference. Then perhaps when the Big XII blows up, WVU, KU, BU will want in.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

Ever heard of Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Villanova? When is the last time Depaul was relevant?

This is a joke right, you omitted a lot of good teams from those conferences.

This. And I thought the UC players showed a fair amount of class as well. I noticed hands extended to downed Mustangs etc. I'm not sure why but my impression of your guys was more thuggish. But that's definitely not the case based on last night's performance. Now that little foul-mouthed, bald-headed dude in the zootsuit.....that's another story. Who let him in?

People think tough teams must be "thuggish." On the court Cincinnati is a tough, intimidating team and off the court this is actually one of the nicer groups of kids we've had. Surprisingly the one with a smile on his face the most is Justin Jackson. This isn't like some of our teams in the '90's that actually were tough on the court and trouble makers off the court.

Danny Manning will bring Tulsa back to relevance, he has a pretty good pedigree with being coached by Larry Brown and coaching under Bill Self at Kansas.

I hope we meet again in the conference tournament and see what happens on a neutral court.

Class comment by Cronin.
"It's not a shock to me that he was going to be able to get good players," Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin said. "If he gets good players, he is going to win. The guy is a great coach, one of the best to ever coach the game."
