I'm just glad for whatever time Coach Brown decides to stay at SMU. He is laying the foundation for SMU to actually become a BB powerhouse. So great!

It will be interesting to see if Janks can keep it going..........hopefully LB will stick around another couple of years.

LB is definitely staying for next year and my hope is he is hear for at least 1 more year after that. Next year's team is going to be scary good so long as we don't have any players transfer or grade out. Hopefully he can then land another great recruiting class and make another deep run in the tournament. At that point if he steps aside we will have a good deep team that can generate some continued success and we will be looking at what will then be 5 straight tourney appearances (3 from LB and 2 from LB last class). If that comes to pass I think you will have created the image of smu basketball necessary to sustain decent recruiting even without coach brown.

Coach Brown said publicly that he wants to stick around until his daughter graduates from SMU. His daughter is in the 8th grade.

Um, his daughter is 16. I don't think she's in the 8th grade, but if she is, fine by me

My bad but he did say something to that effect regarding being here until his daughter graduates.

Yes. He's said he would like to see his daughter come here and graduate because they have a great performing arts school in Meadows. If he stays that long, that would be unreal and mrydel could die a happy man

A couple of obvious observations:

- LB is a coach's coach with a firm eye on player development
- Team has gotten stronger, as they buy into and win with his disciplined approach on both ends of the court.
- Imagine these young players buying into a system and getting these early results. Talk about reinforcement.
- LB talks about how fortunate he is, while our gratitude is greater.

By promoting the team, he has energized and gain the respect of the students, alumni and fans. Candidly, he is taking JJ to school on how to win over the unmotivated. I like that he asked the sororities to avoid scheduling meetings during home games. He is not demanding student support, he is earning it. Humble comes to mind in his words and demeanor. Refreshing.

This just keeps getting better. What a great life lesson for all on how to treat fellow Mustangs! Thank you to LB, coaches, staff, team for giving the students a team to cheer and the alumni base to have hope. Mr. Miller, thank you for rebuilding Moody.
It makes sense to me.

You think LB's son has to camp out for tickets? And does the LB factor help him pick up higher class chicks?

It made the Ticket Ticker too. Great pub near and far.

I see a story titled "Larry Brown's Magic" coming up on sportscenter right before the top plays
