I sit by the students. Friends I brought said they gave up trying to talk to the person next to them because it was so loud.
"This is . . . dedication to distraction by fans. Is that what I'm going to go with Jay?"
"That poor kid has to be wondering what is dad doing."

I am so glad that a new generation of students gets to experience the excitement of a rocking Moody. I have been in lots of venues; and I have never seen one that captures crowd noise as well. Nothing better than watching a game from inside the bowl with a raucous crowd.

This should attract more students who enjoy big time college sports, which will spill over to football. And more applicants will raise SATs, which should make the Spanish Department happy. It's win-win-win. Thank you Larry Brown and David Miller, and thank you Mustang Band for keeping the faith.

I've been to Cameron, Dean Dome, Rupp and others - Saturday was as good as any of those venues. We have to make it so consistently, but when KF hit the three before the half and in the second half when we pushed the lead back to 20, the roof was coming off. As long as the students continue to buy in and donors in the premium seats all show, it can be as special as any arena in the country.

“The atmosphere in that building is phenomenal,” Brown said. “Allen Fieldhouse gets loud and enthusiastic, and Pauley [Pavilion] was phenomenal, but I can’t imagine any place being better than this.”

Moody was always known by the old timers as a great "holler house" and it's good they preserved that with 7k fans instead of the 9-10k fans we could cram into Moody for big games in the 70's
