Will we play the froggies in Moody next year? I really really hope so.

Think the game next year should be TCU's turn to host. Last year the game was at the AAC cause Moody wasn't ready. JMO, think this game goes back to AAC next year. No reason SMU should play TCU at a FWISD high school gym (5,000 seat Wilkerson Greines). Think they are trying to schedule games at the Convention Center Arena. But, that place is pretty much booked for conventions that use the arena.

While Moody wasn't ready we could have played it in Garland. The reason for the SMU TCU game being at the AAC is because the teams were selected to play in the opening game classic along with Bama. OU, Colorado, and Baylor.

If we are in the classic again it will be in the AAC. We had the most fans of anybody so they will probably invite us back if we have not accepted an invited to another event on that date.

What SMU fan isn't envious of where TCU is right now? However you want to describe it - envoy, jealous, hate - I feel all those things for TCU. Maybe, you're right though, it would be just another game against a bad team for most but it will always be big for me.

I am not jealous of them in hoops for sure. But they should be better next year once their transfers become eligible. Still want to beat them though.

i only envy them in football. We are better then them at everything else that matters - academics, city, girls (although that is pretty close) basketball, campus - and we are just generally better people. TCU would be boring, and then you are stuck with that color for life, and you have to be a frog, and get stomped by everybody in the big 12 in basically everything, and academically everybody is better than you except maybe Tech… It would pretty much suck.

Why, we have nothing to gain by playing them They are ranked lower than we are. Wouldn't you want to play Michigan or Villanova more than Texas?

I would DEFINITELY rather play Texas. Villanova and Michigan have good teams. When it comes to the tournament, I want wins - and a win is what we have to gain by playing Texas. The in-state hype is just an added bonus.
