no name on the back is the opposite of small time. It is shooting the finger at the so called big time schools that pander to the individual. LB know best - within the next three years if we make some progress in the tourney we will have a cult following because we don't to the norm.

Real big time uniforms are definitely one of the missing pieces here still. For hoops, I agree these jerseys are really clean, and I don't want to stray too far from that, but no names on the back just screams small time, it can't happen next year.

Also, its weird that we have that big ring of space where most programs put some sort of faint light grey design on the back, but nothing in there (in case you dont know what I'm talking about, see link)

Gray is almost always a bad look, especially in BBall... Unless you like the sweaty I've been in the gym all day look.

I of course love the concept of no names on the back if you are preserving tradition or making a legitimate statement, but honestly, we have no tradition. We're SMU..for God's sake we haven't made a serious impact on the sport since the !950s. Make the uniform pop and flash a little bit, and stay with the times. Be on the cutting edge while holding true to the program's principles..
