No, it is better than expected because some site had us predicted to drop to 60 in the RPI if we lost to Houston. So it is not as bad of a drop as some predicted. Plus other bubble teams are losing today.

ESPN has us as a 10 seed with this RPI ranking.

Win one tourney game, and I'll be at peace with the Houston loss. Win two, and I'll be at peace with all the losses. :-)

It would be really nice to avoid that play in game.

And with Nebraska losing it really helps our chances as Lunardi had SMU, Xavier, Nebraska, and Tennessee as the last 4 byes. So it look like we will get a bye for the 1st round.

I agree, lose that, and might as well have gone to the NIT because nobody cares about the Tuesday night games in Dayton. People will maybe watch them but not like when the lights come on Thursday. That's when the lights get bright and everyone is talking about the winners/losers.

Lunardi's last four teams in are St. Joes, Dayton, BUY, and Providence. Dayton and BYU are both out; they won't jump us. St. Joes and Providence both have a cake walk to their championship games thanks to St. Bonaventure and Seton Hall. And we should all be really cheering for Creighton to beat Xavier tonight

Lunardi is saying we are a 10 seed so I don't think that is a play in game/First Round.

I love the expectation raises! I hate to admit my version of your statement. Avoid play in game and I am at peace with houston. Win one game and all is forgiven. Win two and I am buying a sweet 16 tshirt for all of my SMU hating collegues and I will decorate the halls of our offices in red in blue at 5:00 a.m.
