The Yanick mystery continues

Postby Ponyneighbor » Thu Mar 13, 2014 4:21 pm

Maybe this guy is blowing assignment after assignment in practices and games, maybe he's injured, maybe he's got leprosy ... I don't know. But I'll say it again - I don't understand why a guy that played like he did for the first 10 games is not on the floor for this offensively-challenged bunch. Also wouldn't hurt to have another rim protector.

What I really don't understand is why we aren't getting a straight answer out of anyone regarding his status.

Everytime Larry is asked he just shakes his head, sighs, and says "I know, it's such a shame this is happening"

WHAT IS GOING ON !?!?!?!?!?!?!

If it's personal we can leave it at that but at least give us something.

To me, he looks lost on the offensive end. He is great on D in the post, but on offense, I see him in the wrong place more often than not.

Perhaps it is just a comfort thing, with him missing that much time with the team, and not being able to play without thinking. my $.02

Seems to be somewhat of an offensive liability at this point until he gets his offense back.

Cannan played really well today so he took the minutes, no conspiracy.

LB doesn't owe anyone an explanation except Yannick.

I couldn't understand why LB put MK back in the game after the ankle injury. If would seem
that a fresh Yanick could give them a lift by going for offensive rebounds and putbacks in the
last few minutes - rather than - playing MK who could hardly walk, couldn't jump, and couldn't
move laterally very well.

Cannen was having a good game and he and Yanick might have worked well together at the end
of the game.

What happened to Ben Moore? We could have used him but he was not playing well and
made some weird passes for turnovers. Hope he learns from his mistakes - he has shown
great potential earlier in the year.

I think we just peaked too early and we went downhill. Hope they can regroup for the
upcoming tournament. I am still proud of what they did this year and will continue to cheer
for them as I have for the past 45 years.

Nobody seem to want to point out the obvious-but Moreria had 0 points(0-2), 0 rebounds, 0 blocks, 0 steals and 0 assists against Houston. That's why Larry Brown didn't go back to Moreria when Cannen was playing well. I'm a fan of Moreria but when he didn't get much playing time prior to the tournament, he wasn't going to get his rhythm back to help much

Needs to take off his oven mitts on offense.

I agree with you. Cannen was having one of his better games and Moreira should not have
been substituted for him - he should have been playing with him replacing MK during the
last minutes of the game. My point was that Kennedy was injured and should have been
replaced by Moreira or Ben Moore. I am well aware that neither has the offensive skills
around the basket that MK has but he could not jump or move sideways and was barely
walking. Either one would have given us at least a chance. That is just me. Our HOF coach
obviously thought even an injured Kennedy gave us a better chance. I'm just playing what if.
