post game - Rice

Rice is a good team, i can see why they beat Houston. I cannot see how they lost to Yale. Almond is a beast probably the best player in CUSA who does not play for Calipari.

The technical called on us in the last minutes was horrible. It was physical all night, mostly by Rice, and you just cannot make that call in that situation. I wish Tubbs would have gotten on that ref. That was a really big call.

Bamba, what can you say about Bamba. He was great. Big asset to this team. Some people on this board should eat some crow. Roberts finally is playing much better. Pearson is showing some good signs. Those guys are the difference. BHop will almost always be there. Our big men are starting to establish a rotation.

Oh, and I forgot to say that was the most fun I have had at an SMU basketball game in awhile. Lively crowd, and good basketball by both teams almost the whole game.

Channel 5 News Sports (NBC Dallas/Ft. Worth) leads with a piece on SMU's win over Rice including a Bamba dunk. The was over the TCU game and all the Big 12 games.

To the one, or the few that dogged Bamba Fall............you better get ready to eat your words! That young man is going to be a star, and will have people coming to Moody to see him play!

Are you serious? 7' tall and he makes ONE dunk the entire night. Can't hit a FT to save his life. Can't hit a shot outside of the key, either. Please tell me what he did tonight that was 'great' and an 'asset'?

I was at the game tonight, too. Another 'sleeper' until the last 3:00 minutes leading into OT. The crowd once again acts like it's in Fondren Library instead of Moody Coliseum.

The Mustangs FINALLY play like they want to win in OT! What's up with these guys? Why can't they play like that during the entire game? Stealing passes, blocking shots, making shots, etc. The crowd also 'comes alive' in OT.

For those that left the game before the end of regulation, too bad...because you missed the REAL game which was played in OT.

Congrats to the 'Stangs for winning this one...but there's a lot of room for improvement.

dont be an idiot. More like 4 good dunks. 12 points, 4 rebs, 4 blocks, and several altered shot. Few if any turnovers. It was a damn fine game by Bamba anybody could see that.

seriously, are you kidding? You didnt see the catch, spin and jam from him on the fast break? Not many 7 footers can do that period. Eric Dampier cant do that right now as a pro. What about the power jam on from the baseline with a foul? And he completed the 3 point play by the way. What game were you watching?

You must have been high. He had a lot of blocked shots. He moves well and is only going to get better. I am pretty critical but that is just stupid if you can't see any good there.

Sorry, folks...I apologize...I'll pay closer attention at the next game...I guess my vision isn't as good as it used to be. Maybe it's time to finally get those bifocals.

Bamba is going to be good for 1000 extra fans a game within a year. He moves very well for a tall guy - is usually the first one down the floor on a break. Had a great game tonight and I think what most people are excited about is he has gotten better every game.
