Mavs Implosion...who is Cuban cussing out this morning? Is Avery sure he wants his coffee before his toast, or does he want his toast, then his joe, and then some scrambled eggs, either way, I am sure the waitress is confused, too....are the refs plotting a secret takeover of the game somewhere near the Texas School Book Depository, as we speak?...I haven't seen an implosion like this since the Ponies blew a 22 point lead v. Ole [deleted] back in '98. Fun to watch, for someone who could really care less about the Mavs and Cuban.....long live Tom LaGarde.
I guess you didn't see Game 5, which ended with the biggest officiating fiasco since the 1972 Olympics. It's really hard to believe that any game is fixed, but watching three blown calls on the Heat's last play of that game really makes you wonder if the zebras had some type of outside motivation.
Three blown calls??? Just because the calls do not go the Mavs way does not mean they were blown. The over and back was questionable and could be argued both ways. The Josh Howard call looked to me like he intended for the timeout to be called at that time because he was halfway to the bench when the dispute started and then he acted like he was wronged. The only call that think was a mistake was the Dirk foul but that is just bad luck. Ask Bruce Bowen about touch fouls late in the game
Stangesg.......seems to me, bro', that the Mavs were the beneficiaries of a BUNCH of questionable / blown calls in the Spurs series, HHhmmmmm!?!
Re: Mavs Implosion
if i didn't know better i would think you are enjoying being an irritant as much as Cuban does.
the simple fact is in the last ten seconds of Game 5 of the NBA Finals, let the players decide the winner, not Bennett Savatore (one of the worst refs in professional sports, btw). Everyone knows Wade was not fouled.
As for Hixson's claim that it is just the Mavs fans crying, not the case. Check out Bill Simmons piece on ESPN.com. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/st ... ons/060620
good line-
"• My favorite "Damn, I wish I had thought of that" e-mail of the weekend, courtesy of Greg David in Philly: "Did you see Dirk heading to the locker room after Game 5 when he knocked over that exercise bike? He was totally like Karl from 'Die Hard' after Bruce Willis killed his brother.""
If the Mavs don't win this series it will certainly be one of the biggest meltdowns in the NBA finals ever. GO MAVS!
P.S. S T F U! Mark Cuban
Looks that way, 7:00 left in the 3rd, and 3 mavs have 4 fouls, Heat have shot 24 free throw attempts, and the mavs have only had 5 attempts. That is almost a 3 to 1 ratio. The NBA is more corrupt than boxing.
You must be a Spurs fan...I see. Gifts...haha. How about Duncan getting the call every single time he came down the court. That was a joke...Please. Give me a break.
What a waste. Settling for 3 pointers in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Mavs didn't play well in the 4th of any games in the Finals. Avery should be ashamed....he didn't have them prepared to close out games. They did much better in the Phx and Spurs games to close out...
Talk about calls - Wade fouled Dirk with his forearm and Dirk gets called for the foul. What a joke. NBA has turned into the WWF.
Do you think that free throw/foul differential had anything at all to do with the fact the Mavs sat on the perimeter settling for jumpers all game? I've got news for you, you don't pickup a bunch of foul calls settling for jumpers and not attacking the hoop. I don't think any objective person can say that the Mavs outplayed the Heat today and desreved to win. The refs had nothing to do with the outcome of this game 6 whatsoever. The Heat were simply the better team on this night.
