After several very good recruiting classes, this may be the year they finally arrive. At 6-0 with solid wins over Providence and Arizona St., and currently up one against #24 Wake at the half, they will crack the top 25 in next week's AP. They go nine deep with 4 star quality players and they will be a major factor in the Big XII this year. Not sure how, but Drew has done an unbelievable job of pulling that program out of a mess.

They wound up losing, 84-71, but no doubt they are a very interesting team. Betcha they knock off Texas or OU during the season.
If the NCAA doesn't follow his trail like some are suggesting, he's probably setting himself up for one of the bigger jobs in the country.

I thought the best team I saw over the holiday's was Gonzaga.
The best team I've seen this year is UNC.
The best player I have seen is Harden @ Ariz State.
I was impressed with Tulsa getting to the finals of a good tourney down @ South Padre. They got beat by 4 (I think) by Illinois.
I thought UTEP looked pretty good. I like their Freshman & the kid Culpepper has the green light to shot anytime, anywhere. Terrible shot selection. I thought they looked like a top 3 or 4 seed in the conference.
I thought UCF & Rice looked like teams we should compete well against.
As far as Baylor, I hate to admit it but they look really good & the bad news is they are only going to get better & better. They are in on many top recruits in the NATION, both this year & next.
Love this time of the year & all the hoops. Still can't figure out our schedule & why we aren't playing more.

no kidding. maybe Doherty thinks the less we play the less we lose?
as for college hoops this year - UNC is awfully good....they will be tough to beat in March. Watch out for Wake – they looked very good against Baylor last night.....I believe they are now 6-0 and ranked #15 in the AP
btw, Baylor is #24 in the new AP poll.

I've wished losing on you all ever since '89 and that fake punt.

I haven't heard anything, just suspected.
AAU coaches, shoe deals, etc - within limits and pushing the system.

I just can't imagine they can get away with anything there now......I have to believe the NCAA is watching every move they make - very closely. But whatever Drew is doing, it is working.....three consecutive classes like they’ve had will put you on the national map and in the tourney. In those classes they landed eight players, any of which would be the best player on our team, and several of them are Dallas area kids. Acy is the one that kills me.....he is exactly what we need down low.

If we could cheat our asses off for about 3 classes, we woudln't need to cheat again after that.
