Jordan ClarksonTook an offical visit to SMU over the weekend.
Verbal to Tulsa last night. http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/T ... rdan405952 "We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."
Re: Jordan ClarksonDoh is quickly turning into the Rob Deer of recruiting...he whiffs on everyone. Meanwhile, a guy who was once a candidate to come here (Wojcik) very much has Tulsa on the right track. This is getting old.
Re: Jordan Clarkson
Not that I'm happy with the present state of the bball program, would Wojcik have been recognizable enough to help us raise the money for Crum? The donkey's name is Kiki.
On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney? Good, Bad...I'm the one with the gun.
Re: Jordan ClarksonConsidering that he would have been coming from a program that has maybe the best practice facility in the nation, yes I think he would have gotten Crum done. He was actually a candidate when Tubbs was hired. We had a different administration at the time so there's no telling if it would have ever happened.
Re: Jordan ClarksonI do think this could be Doh last year, but I am getting sick of this Eye in the Sky jerk running him down every chance he gets.

Re: Jordan ClarksonWell then he better do something to change my mind. We are entering year 4 and the program has gone nowhere. The team is no more ready to compete than when he first arrived.
Re: Jordan ClarksonI don't care if he doesn't I change your mind. He's probably gone anyway. You are beating an almost dead horse at every chance. You are the guy who bad mouthed Emmanuel Sanders saying that the team would not vote him captain and they did. While you have your Eye in the Sky you need to pull your head out of your butt. Anyway, I wish the bball team the best but am preparing for the worst.

Re: Jordan Clarkson
I didn't ask whether or not he would want a facility like Crum. What I'm asking is whether Wojick would have been able to convince the Crum family to donate the money for the facility. The donkey's name is Kiki.

Re: Jordan ClarksonWho knows if the Crum family would have donated the $ at the time. I guess they are the only ones that know for sure.
az1...look again. It was my opinion that ES shouldn't be a captain. I didn't say they wouldn't vote him in. Based on several facts that I know first-hand, I stand by that opinion.
Re: Jordan Clarkson
Oh wow, you know a player on the team and now you are mister super duper inside info man. So I guess it's a slap in the team's face. Opinions are like something else everyone has especially yours. I don't care if you stand by your meaningless opinion or not. ES hater. Last edited by az1 on Sat Sep 12, 2009 8:14 am, edited 1 time in total.

Re: Jordan ClarksonThis is the 2nd player that we were recruiting this season that has committed to conference rival Tulsa. In addition to Clarkson, Tulsa also received a commitment from a kid out of Arizona named Baruti that had interested in us. Last season it was Donte Medder choosing Tulsa over us.
So not only are we missing on these kids but we will playing against them for several years. Its time for some positive news re: recruiting on the men's hoops side. "We have a great bunch of outside shooters. Unfortunately, all our games are played indoors."
Re: Jordan Clarkson
This is correct. To make a move in conference, you have to snipe better players. Losing head to head vs Tulsa on the trail isn't helping us rise up the CUSA standings in season “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
Re: Jordan ClarksonI nominate him for WDNWHA.
In all seriousness, Doh needs a winning season this year and he probably needs a winning season in conference to save his job. If not, he's probably gone. That may be why we're seeing some players pass on coming here. They know that he's on the hot seat and don't want to commit to a coach who may not be here next year. The only other way for Doh is for early signing day to be a parade of blue chips. We shall see. UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: Jordan Clarkson
I know this is a popular line of thought, and I'm not saying it's flawed, just that I haven't heard much to validate he's on the hot seat. What I keep hearing is that they need to see forward progress in the program, not a winning season or conference record. Simply, get 15 or 16 wins, coupled w/our returning talent, and he's safe. They wouldn't have let him completely re-tool his staff, w/mostly younger recruiting types, if this was a win now or never proposition. Geary/Brown were brought in to be effective in '11 & '12 more then '10. Certainly, a blue chipper or two wouldn't hurt, but they want this staff to be successful. Starting over is a last resort “When I first committed to SMU, I thought it would take a couple of years of building. But with these players coming in, we should make a run. We have a lot of heavy hitters. It could get real ugly for a lot of teams we play.â€- Jalen Jones
Re: Jordan ClarksonYou're probably right PonyDoh, but a repeat of last season would not be good for Doh.
