RED OUT MEMPHIS ready to ROCK

Postby Harry0569 » Mon Jan 25, 2010 7:42 pm

I just got confirmation from Asst. AD Brad Sutton that a few thousand t-shirts have been ordered for the game Saturday. I will be there quite early Saturday morning to put them on the seats in Moody. With that said, could each of you who reads this please urge every SMU fan that comes to the game on Saturday to wear red. It is so much better if everyone does it.

I will post the game sheet that morning, and should I buy Mcd's cheeseburgers or Slim Fast to pass out in the student section for Pierre Henderson (I know he's dropped a bunch of weight)?

PONY UP!

We just need 5,000 more of you.

I assume the students will be at the game decked out in their newest greek gear though?

As a former fraternity President (a current senior), I have talked with every Fraternity/Sorority president, and told them not to wear their jerseys, but to wear Red or to be ready to put on the Red SMU t-shirt that the Athletic Dept. has gotten.

**BTW, I started the facebook event 90 minutes ago, and there are already over 100 people that say they will attend with another 1,300 SMU students invited. I'm hoping Moody is just ridiculous if everyone shows up.

nothing hurts SMU worse then its greek system.

Harry, you are good people!

Agreed. I guess if it is "not our turn" then you don't go to the game. What boggles my mind is that they have the balls to actually walk out of the game before it is over... just flat leave! That's something I will never understand. :? Oh. Then there was the moron waving/shaking the frat flag... (I know the Chi Os were there last night - forgot which fraternity) How about waving an SMU flag or a Pony flag - does any other university (besides SFA and NTSU) flaunt the Greek affiliation at athletic events? Embarrassing.

It's incredibly embarrassing. I can't say enough about how SMU's version of the greek system divides a campus.
