We are currently riding a 3 game win streak , knock on wood , we can keep it up .
I think it would be awesome if we get get some fans to jump on this bandwagon , similar to the football season. The game vs. Memphis is similar to the football game vs. UTEP and could be a turning point in the BB season.

Wear red , get out to Moody and lets rush the court.

the football team didn't have a bandwagon either, see attendance. I wholeheartedly support the original poster, but it's not going to happen at SMU, unless we get so good in either sport, that Dallas actually cares

I don't think SMU will ever get very many fans in the stands even if we had perennial final four teams. What I do think is that SMU can be an excellent TV draw. Just look at Miami, an ACC team that has had a tremendous amount of success still doesn't draw very well. USC is not a good comparison because there is no pro football team in LA. As long as we can fill up the lower level seats to make attendance look good on TV we will be fine.

Our attendance went off the cliff the second Mavs season. We have had some very good teams since that time-but SMU is no longer the team on the front page of the sports section. SMU is not the first choice for the Dallas basketball fan. We can do better with the crowd numbers but to think we will ever again have 9k for a conference game is not reasonable. A Moody renovation that would improve the fan experience and perhaps drop the capacity to 6k would be fine. With the area development of special event centers, the high school graduation business that justified the seating capacity is no longer ours.
Work on student and staff attendance and have a first rate facility for the basketball fan who doesn't need or want the pro game.

There is no bandwagon.
I've asked three people if they'd want to go to the Memphis game. All of them have said no, they'd rather do other things. Mind you, these aren't casual fans but guys who I normally go to football games with at Ford. If they aren't interested, then forget the casual fan for now.

We haven't had very many good teams since the mavs hit town. We had some decent teams, but on the whole have been less than mediocre. Who knows what attendance will be like if we get as good as we were during the Koncak years. We had great crowds back in those days.

they have shown signs of putting it together but I'd bet there was plenty of room on that bandwagon. Looks like we have a driver- has anybody called Shotgun yet?

Luckily T. Boone hates OU or his wife would start thinking it was cool for Gluestick and Noid to pull a Wagon.
