Just found out what he's giving. Holy sh*t!!! This guy deserves a huge thank you from the SMU community. The renovation to Moody should be able to hit the ground running w/ this gift. WOW!
Back off Warchild seriously.

I'm a patient man. I'm looking forward to it. I would suspect that David's name will be attached to something at Moody --- maybe the court or maybe the meatball room.

Since he's in the oil and gas industry, the energy sector has been looking for donation streams at an accelerated clip. Now, he has his chance and SMU benefits.

I'm going to speculate and say David Miller's amount -- along with the Moody Foundation's $20 million -- will bring SMU to between $26-30 million of the $40 million sought.

I'm also going to say that this was the plan all along. David used pocket change to pick up the tab for the CIT tournament and this thing was scripted out.

Let the Moody Foundation have the big day.

Give it some time.

Then follow up with David.

Now about the grassy knoll....

Actually most people stated that Miller was the only reason he wasn't fired...

The oil patch is getting $105 a barrel, maybe it is a little bigger donation. Either way it is greatly appreciated.

and that wouldn't be quite true either, cause he was getting his contract no matter what. Bottom line, if the biggest booster of a program has your back, discussing replacements is pointless. Beyond that, folks can't call Doh abusive and then suggest BCG, who rivals Frank Martin. Last thing on BCG, look at how he's recruiting in Lubbock already. No matter what random drive bys suggest, he's not a particularly good recruiter. He did well to get UNMs texas connect

who said recruiting big, stif, slow white guys never pays off in the end. :) Might want to check on the financial resources of Rusty Borguin, Jeff Swanson and Clayton Korver too for more recruiting windfall
