Dude, just drop it with your June hate. I've walked away from it because I realized there are better things to do.

Maybe you should too.

Brown will probably make less than June. According to Kate around 1.75 mil. So no jealousy there. However, Brown will be a higher profile coach than June because he has NBA and NCAA championships.

we'll let him renegotiate when he gets serious about getting a younger more agressive staff on the recruiting trail

Still has egg on his face from the ASU thing. Has no leverage right now. If he wins CUSA this year or wins 10 games or beats A&M/TCU, then he'll be in a position to renegotiate.

June really helped us, behind the scenes, with some of our candidates, including Brown. He was a factor.

According to Larry, that indeed it the case. Having talked to JJ a couple of times since the ASU debacle, I'm over it. Let's get on with the job of building and offensive line and getting the QBs ready to play.

''I was confident it was going to get done, I had phenomenal visit there. The people treated me great,'' he said. ''(SMU football coach) June Jones was an advocate, he's been trying to help me for a month, not give up and to understand this is a great place for me and I never doubted that.''

Yeah, those back-to-back-to-back bowls were tiresome. The renegotiation talk is nothing but hot air at the moment. Could he? Probably. Will he? Doubtful. My guess is that he'll sit tight. If he wins big this year -- let's say he goes 10-2 and beats A&M or TCU or something -- maybe. But even then, it seems doubtful, because 2013 should be better than 2012. Maybe that would be the year.

We should hang on to June Jones for as long as he WANTS to be here...

The ASU thing is water under the bridge for me. Just win baby.
