We accomplished one huge goalTo avoid a regular season bad loss. While I believe we have a good chance to win our last five, none of those would be considered a bad loss. That will look great on our resume to see a blank space next to bad losses.
We need to finish strong. I'd be thrilled to go 4-1 in these last five and then win the AAC tourney. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four
2014-15 & 2016-17 AAC Men's Basketball Champs
Re: We accomplished one huge goali see uconn at their place as our toughest remaining game.
Re: We accomplished one huge goal
Yes. Also, tomorrow night. They are playing to get in the tournament. Beating us at Moody would be huge for them. SMU-12 NCAA appearances, 1 Final Four

Re: We accomplished one huge goalCompletely pertinent to the discussion to not have one of "those" losses in the column when you stack everyone up. Now to get a few marquee-ish wins to close the season.
Re: We accomplished one huge goal6 game conference road winning streak tied a 60 year old SMU record-yet to read game threads around here its almost as if our performance is an embarrassment.

Re: We accomplished one huge goal
Anything but pretty for sure. Last night wasn't that different from last season's regular season game between our teams. W is a W though! ![]()
Re: We accomplished one huge goalScoreboard looked pretty at 0:00. Bottom line.
Re: We accomplished one huge goalUConn on the road will be tough. . .but Temple at Moody scares me too. When we played Temple at their place, they were slumping. Not any more.
Re: We accomplished one huge goalyeah I see UConn away and temple here as the toughest for sure.
not gimmees at all but UConn at moody, Tulsa at moody and Memphis away should all be W's. we are capable of losing to anyone of course, as is everyone in our conference.
Re: We accomplished one huge goal
Temple at Moody is bigger than UCONN away or home. We will get up for UCONN at Moody...but this Temple team is dangerous and on a good roll right now. Plus, they definitely want payback for our comeback in January.
Re: We accomplished one huge goal
They haven't lost this season @ full strength. "smupony94: Harry, you have been promoted to purveyor of official status capabilities."
Re: We accomplished one huge goal
Any of the remainng games could be difficult...just depends on howcwe play. But Temple scares me the most. They were hurting when we played up there and, buy for a total collapse at the end, had us whipped. They are far better than any of the other conference contenders when at full strength. Re: We accomplished one huge goalIn the regular season I agree. However, the 1st or maybe 2nd round of AAC tourney could bring a potential for a bad loss. And given my time following smu bball we have always sucked in conf tourney - including early 90 team when I was there.
However it's a new day and I trust my godfather.
Re: We accomplished one huge goal[quote="LA_Mustang"]To avoid a regular season bad loss.
** key phrase being " regular season". Let's all remember that our 1st round AAC Tourney loss last year was probably what clinched our being snubbed. Let's just hope we finish strong because there are no "easy" games left on the schedule
