I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerAnd that will help him be stronger on the boards. If MK does not come back that will be needed.

Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerI hope you are right about Ben. We said the same thing last year though...

Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summer
He actually did put around 15 or 20 pounds last summer. He came here at around 180 or185 and is now right at 200. Still a bit thin for a 6'8 frame but just saying that to show it is possible for him to do. #HammerDown
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summer
Oh yeah, that's right. He definitely looks to the eye like another 15-20 is easily doable. Shake It Off Moody
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerAgainst Lamer this year, he had a monster game. I thought he was going to have a breakout year.
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerI hope so. I didn't realize he had already put on that much weight. If he gets to around 220 he would be strong enough to give us another post presence.
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summer
I was surprised as well. I usually don't fully trust the rosters, but we listed him at 205 this season and 185 last season. Shake It Off Moody
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerSoph slump-the only thing he didn't do well this year is to get the ball to fall in the bucket. What's so frustrating is that as a freshman he had the highest shooting percentage among the bigs. He hit freaking .613% as a freshman and only .439% as a Soph. Check his eyesight. Oh and enroll him in basic geometry class to study angles to shoot off backboard. Markus Kennedy has mastered the art of softly shooting the ball around the rim to give the ball the best chance to fall through-Ben is the throwing the ball at the rim and its bouncing out

Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerI used to be fully in this camp: bulk up, get stronger.
But, now, although I think he definitely needs to add some muscle/strength, his real strength as a player is his versatility . . . and he just needs to get stronger not necessarily bulkier. My offseason to dos for him: 1 - Work on your post moves 2 - Work on your jump shot and free throws 3 - Get stronger (I'm sure natural physical maturity would put on 5-10 pounds but I don't think bulk is necessarily needed) 4 - Keep doing whatever you've been doing because the bball IQ is clearly there (just continue to refine all the little things skillwise: dribbling, passing, rebounding!) I'm excited for him and look forward to seeing him take more of a leadership role next year.

And this. "the little things"
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summer
I am talking about him gaining 20 pounds of muscle not just bulk. Just like he did last summer. Nothing wrong with that. #HammerDown
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerIf Ben Moore became automatic with his mid range jumper he could be lethal on pick n roll and pick n pop plays.
I miss Troy Matthews.
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerHe also pretty much has no low post moves, he needs to ask Larry Brown to connect him with one of his former players who used to play in the post in the NBA.
I miss Troy Matthews.
Re: I think Ben Moore puts on 20 pounds over the summerI have 20 pounds he can borrow
