Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageBig man, does not have the mind set for football but I think he would donate two teeth to play bball. We would also get some ROI for the ship.
We are is need of another big man even if only for fouls and minutes in games. You never know this my be a blessing for all parties. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageSpeculation or is there some traction with this option?
Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageI had heard that he has, in the past, worked out with team or practiced. I'll google and report back.
More or less I am thinking out load as I ponder the variety of paths the future may take. Looking for help for team and ROI on a ship. Win/Win. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"

Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usage
I know your dream is to kick everyone off the football team and start over from scorched earth, but it wont happen this way. The basketball team isnt going to give Spencer Hollie a scholarship, they're on probation and facing 3 years of scholarship reductions. Hollie was a pretty good basketball player in high school, but the kids SMU is recruiting are better. To use your own terms, the basketball team gets a better ROI by using their scholarships on Froling and Kapita, rather than Hollie. For this spring they might need someone for emergency use when others are in foul trouble, but they'd have to be really desperate to use a scholarship on a player that's only a warm body, they might let him on the team to be their emergency guy, but he's not getting a scholarship to do that. And I might add that the key word here is "might", its a just a random thought, have no idea if Hollie or Larry Brown would have any interest in this.
Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageThe scholarship would remain with football if I am not mistaken. Basketball would not lose any scholarship capability with using someone from the football team.
If I am wrong in that then of course you would not move a FB player over to BB unless he was a very top rated BB player. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageCorrect mrydel - ship stays in football. Has to according to that group that oversees stuff.
Correct to the other poster - Hollie would be a stop gap emergency fill in big man. depth. he would love it and smu get some ROI for football ship. (otherwise wasted) Win/Win Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageEast Bay basketball is even worse than East Bay football. FYI

Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageMight be 0 sports instead of 2 for him. He may not have a spot on the football team much longer either...

Long live the Circle of Champions!
Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageDo we have any WRs who played basketball in high school? We need a guard to fill in Keith's time. I don't think Hollie could play the 2 or 3

Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usageOK... I'm always looking to improve the big men.
They rule by the way. Nice tape. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Spencer Hollie - Scholarship usage
I'd love to have someone that can eat up fouls but I wanted that before the Keith thing. Now I think we need a guard pretty much immediately. I'd prefer someone other than Sutton if we have them. Don't want our top receiver to pick up an injury
